It has been quite a while since our last post, but believe me we have been busy growing and helping families in the Irving community. We have made some changes in our mission and we have decided on providing clothes to children in our community as our primary objective. We are currently looking for office space in order to open our doors to the community. We are still accepting new/ never worn and gently used (with no holes or tears) clothing for children of all ages and sizes. We were blessed beyond measure at the end of last year to have a website built for us. Feel free to visit us and think about a donation. http://www.cartershouseinc.org and like us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/cartershouseinc twitter: @carters_house
Wow! I can’t believe that it had been almost two weeks since I let you in on what is going on with Carter’s House. Well, here is a breakdown of we’ve been doing to get ready to help our community. Our website will be coming soon!! We are excited for the launch of http://www.thecartershouse.org. On the website you will be able to learn more about who we are and why we do what we do. This part should not be a surprise to anyone who gets to know my sister or myself. We know that we were born to help people. We have readily accepted that and we count it as a sincere blessing from God. Aside from learning about my sister and myself, you will also be kept abreast of upcoming events sponsored by Carter’s House. There will also be a link for you to make tax free monetary sponsorships to the organization. We have also set up our official Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/cartershouseorg) and our twitter handle is @carters_house. Be sure to check there for the latest updates from us. Please take a look at it and as we grow, there will be lots of information and facts about how you can partner with us to rebuild our community. We look forward connecting with all of you.
As always, thank you all for your continued support and we wish you all peace and blessings.
Carter’s House is the vision of myself and my sister, April Fuller. We were both blessed as children with great parents.
We have long had a desire to both work together and help people. We have toyed with the idea of what to offer, and God gave us the vision of starting Carter’s House, a non profit organization focused on rebuilding the community ONE family at a time.
The clients that will use our program will be those who have fallen on hard times, but do not wish to live on the system for the remainder of their days. We will provide them with classes in mental, physical, and financial areas, as well as spiritual guidance from their local religious organization. We will provide free housing for a period of not more than 24 months.
We are still in our set up phase, and I will be blogging about our journey to our official ribbon cutting ceremony next year.
Please feel free to follow along. And as we get closer to opening, please feel free to contact us if you or someone that you know would benefit from our services.
I look forward to keeping you all informed of our progress.
